Tuesday, July 7

A good day to sleep in and go slow. With coffee and then later, I tried to catch up with this blog. Linda watered and worried about Joke's plants. There are a lot of them.

Its amazing how time can just slip by in a day. Linda finally had to get out and walked down to the main street and bought a nice light, pink-purple blouse that went well with her new skirt. After she returned, we walked down to de Lindenhoff, had our espresso and mint tea, and talked to Lana, the waitress we met at least 3 years ago, maybe more. She had her makeup on and her hair more fixed than we remembered. She told us that in August she will start working as a sales rep for a coffee maker (Penguin Blue). She's excited. It sounds like she is moving on and up. When we first met her, she was a substitute teacher and part-time waitress. Then she became a barista and now this. We congratulated her and wished her luck.

Linda had made some soup from the left-over cock she bought last week and froze it. We had that for dinner. That's 3 meals from a 3-4 euro bird. Pretty good.

We ended the day watching a movie with Queen LaTifa in it. Not much else to say.
