June 2/3:

Thursday: We woke up to clouds and rain. The painting would be done inside. For lunch, two carloads of us drove over to a cafe and had soup and a meat dish and, of course, wine. Back at the "farm", there was more painting and a drink and peanuts for dinner.

Friday: Rain was threatening but we decided to take a chance and most of the group headed out to Bettona - another hill town.

The parking is relatively close to the main square so we all park and trudge up the hill. The square is not one of the really beautiful ones but it has the church tower, of course, and a fountain. For a small town, there is a continuous stream of cars coming through the square.

The views are awesome even with the threatening skies. We always seem to be in a valley with hills on two sides.

Linda selects her place and settles down for drawing. Drawing comes first and then painting. She ends up concentrating on a scooter and gets a good start.

About 12:30 its time for lunch and it looks like its going to rain. Two good reasons to stop and eat. Jerry had been looking for a restaurant for an hour and finally found a 4 star with a great view. Linda and I both had the carpaccio and wine.

This is one of the table tops in the restaurant.

Back to the center of town and the cafe for coffee and the rains started. The guys take an umbrella and a poncho and retrieve the cars and pick up the girls.

On the way back to the farm, Jerry starts looking for some Roman ruins. The rain is off and on and we decide to take off and return "home".

Linda fixes pork chops and a mixed medley of veggies and we watch Netflix shows.
